Harlie Valdez has been in remission from Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM). However, new symptoms have been creeping up on Harlie this fall. She is scheduled for a MRI tomorrow at Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital.
Harlie has thrived this past year. Harlie is a fighter and we need her to continue to fight! As a mother, Stephanie has worried every single day that the disease may come back or that Harlie could have a horrible side effect from her treatment.
We have all followed Harlie over the last two years. Harlie and her entire family are my family and I just want them to know that I will be praying for the MRI to come back showing that the disease is still in remission. I will be praying that Harlie is going to continue to thrive and fight JDM!
I saw the following post on Facebook last week and it made my heart stop. I do not want to see Harlie back in the hospital.
“At this moment I am not thinking about what I’m gonna eat later I’m think of my disease is it coming back ? How can I stop it ? Why me? Why that’s all I can ask .. honestly just so sick of this ..”
I want to see her attending more school dances with cute boys! I want her out spending more time with her friends!
Keep up the fight!
Love you Harlie. I’m always here for you. I promise.
Much love,
Gnia
