Stephanie Valdez: “I never thought this day would come… They are finally releasing us from the hospital!!!
No beeping all night, no sleeping on a small couch or waiting for a shower, cafeteria food ect……Actually be home with with our family.
With the new medicine (Orencia) she will come back to the hospital on Mondays to receive an infusion thru IV as well as 1000 mg of steroid, methotrexate, and IVIG.
A huge thank you for all the support and visits and prayers, dinners this last admission has had us living in the hospital for 82 long days and that’s just the last one.last time we was discharged it was only for two days before we was back and in ICU. This doesn’t mean Harlie is cured but it does mean we are on the right road to remission. She is going home with a broviac that scares me but I’m sure we will manage. If she does well for the next couple weeks then they will schedule surgery to have it removed.She will still have a busy schedule with physical therapy, occupational therapy and two days a week at the hospital but it’s a start:-)…she is a fighter and will continue the fight at home..
