Stephanie: Harlie had a rough week battling her fevers of 102 and vomiting blood. She also had a hard time keeping her oxygen at a safe level. At one point, they were debating on putting her back in the ICU. Her labs showed a significant loss of blood Wednesday, dropping from 8.4 to 7.2, in a short time so they gave her blood transfusions. She had multiple X-rays and a chest X-ray, which showed pneumonia:( We just prayed that her pneumonia was from aspiration and not part of the disease.

She reached behind her head and felt her ponytail (it had always been so thick) and it was so thin. It really upset her. She’s been so sick that when I have been brushing her hair, she didn’t noticed until today how much hair she’s actually lost. It broke my heart…

Friday and today have been better with no vomiting, or fevers, or blood loss:-) Her spirits have been high:-) I’m praying God has heard all of our prayers and she will now be on her road to recovery… No more set backs!!!
She still has a long way to go but knowing Harlie, the fighter she is, she can do it..no matter how sick she is she has made the effort to go to physical therapy and work hard.. Hoping the next update on Harlie will be all good news:-)
