Since the relationship with Utah Rare, the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and the NBA Utah Jazz was such a HUGE SUCCESS for our Rare & Undiagnosed Network (RUN) last year, we are DREAMING BIG this 2016 Rare Disease Day!!  My husband, Justin Zanik, is the Assistant GM of the NBA Utah Jazz and called several of his colleagues in the NBA. 

It is a dream to have Rare Disease Day honored by all seven home NBA teams playing on the night of February 29th. The NBA Utah Jazz will be having our RUN hosted night for our 2016 Utah Rare children on the court again as National Anthem budding on the night of February 27th to raise awareness for Utah Rare and for NORD.  We are forever grateful to the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family and the entire Utah Jazz family for their continued support of our family as well as RUN, Utah Rare, NORD and all of the rare community.

Since I have this dream, Justin generously called Tommy Sheppard, Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations, of the Washington Wizards. He agreed to have the Washington Wizards honor Rare Disease Day!!  We are working with his incredibly generous team right now to make the Washington Wizards game against the Philadelphia 76ers a night to remember!!!
