Aware of Angels is excited to host our 1st Annual Art for Angels art contest and silent auction. The art contest is open to all ages and abilities! Event will be on display for public viewing October 2nd from 12pm-9pm & 3rd from 10am-6pm at The Bell Room located in downtown Provo. There are 5 different age categories as well as an Angel category for those with special needs. Registration is required for all categories. This is a fundraiser for Aware of Angels. The artwork entered in the contest will be an original piece of art created by the entrant and donated to Aware of Angels. This piece of artwork will be placed on silent auction during the two days and each piece will be awarded to the highest bidder. Bidding will end at 6pm on Saturday, October 3rd. 100% of funds given to Aware of Angels for your donated piece of art will go towards providing undiagnosed children with genetic testing and research opportunities to better their quality of life and search for a diagnosis.

You must be able to mail or drop off your entry. Drop off for artwork entries will be October 1st at The Bell Room location. If you would like to enter but will not be available this day, early drop off can be arranged or email for mailing address. Judging will take place the morning of October 2nd and late entries will not be included in the judging.

AFA is asking for a small donation of $15 to participate. If you or your child would like to enter but can not donate $15 please email childgenetics@gmail.com-we want your art whether or not you can cover the participation fee. 

There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner in each category with fabulous prizes awarded! Artists do not need to be present to win. These pieces will be judged by local volunteers and not by Aware of Angels organization members. On the eve of October 3rd, a private event will be held for sponsors, artists and their families. Prizes will be awarded and light refreshments served.

Entry requirements (Parents, please help your children with this part!).

-Art work has no minimum size requirements.

-All art needs to be framed and ready to hang on drop-off. There are no specific requirements for any matting or framing. Canvas work is not required to have a frame.

-Artists can use any preferred medium to create their piece. Draw, paint, color-be creative. Please make sure your artwork is flat/2D and ready to hang.

-Please securely attach to the back of your piece the following information:

• Title of your piece (if any)
• Name
• Age
• Parents Name (for children under the age of 16)
• Parents or entrants contact information (2 types) email & phone number (form will be available on drop off if needed)
• Honesty is important. Please only submit artwork created by the registered contestant. Thank you!

With this event we hope to ignite passion and creativity for art in our community. This will be a fun and exciting event for everyone involved. By providing an opportunity to create and donate a special piece of artwork that could potentially provide an undiagnosed child with some answers to better his/her life; we hope these artists will find a sense of joy and accomplishment by serving others in our community. This event will also raise awareness among the general public for our children with rare, genetic and undiagnosed disorders.

*please make sure your child understands they are creating & donating their art for a cause, we would hate to see any tears when their artwork finds a home:)*
