Stephanie Valdez: “Update on Harlie.. We have decided to try a new drug treatment called tacrolimus.. She will start it today along with her other treatments on Mondays ( 1000 mg steroid, methotrexate, IVIG…) they will monitor her closely to make sure there’s no bad reactions or toxic dosage that could cause seizures. Praying this medicine works..🙏🏼
We decided to try the new medicine because her rheumatoigist dr couldn’t stress enough how important it is to get her disease in remission before a year mark which is August or there could be more complications:-( I noticed today blood coming out of her ears that worries me and she had a random bloody nose yesterday, I’ll have to talk to Drs about today.
she been working hard in therapy hoping to go home soon..
On a happy note it was a wonderful weekend that we got passes for 8 hours a day and got to spend time with family and friends..
